Ruinart has the distinction of being the oldest Champagne house. With age comes experience and wisdom, and this is displayed in the outstanding quality of Ruinart Champagne. The perfect example of this is the Ruinart Blanc de Blanc NV, the flagship wine of the house. Made exclusively from chardonnay grapes from the finest years (25% reserve wines from 2 or 3 previous harvests), it has complex flavours with an underlying elegance and just the right amount of brioche notes. The elegant, signature style is the result of four years’ worth of sitting on its lees, just after the second fermentation, followed by rest in Ruinart’s ancient Roman chalk cellars deep beneath the city of Reims.
A perfect champagne for aperitifs, particularly in spring and summer. It is ideal when married with oysters and sashimi.
